Secure your stay at Hotel La Perla
In this moment of great uncertainty, we want to guarantee you peace of mind when booking your holiday, without worrying about any unforeseen events, either before your holiday (if you are forced to cancel your trip) or during it (if you have to return home).
How do we do it?
We’ve introduced the option to add a cancellation and interruption insurance policy for bookings made and confirmed at least 30 days before arrival. This allows you to secure the room that best suits your needs by booking in advance, without worrying about cancellation penalties. In the event of unforeseen circumstances — even those not related to Covid (such as illness, injury, or accident) — you can cancel or cut short your stay without losing the amount you’ve already paid.
HOLIDAY PROTECTION DETAILS
- Insurance included for bookings made up to 30 days before arrival
- Booking confirmation requires a 20% deposit
Cancellation policies for your stay
- Free cancellation up to 21 days before arrival
- Within 21 days of arrival, only the 20% deposit will be retained
Even if you book less than 30 days in advance, you can arrange the insurance independently. In collaboration with our travel insurance partner, we offer a very convenient option: just 4.4% of the total value of your stay.
Insurance details
- Valid also for reasons related to Covid-19 (excluding lockdowns), with coverage extending to second-degree relatives
- The insurance covers the reimbursement of the deposit and any cancellation fees already paid by the insured, or pays the cancellation fees directly to the accommodation if the amount has not yet been paid.
- In case of interruption, it will reimburse you for the unused portion of your stay.
- The entire cost of the holiday is covered by the insurance.
- Applicable to all citizens of the European Union
WHAT DOES IT COVER?
- Illness, injury, or death of the insured, a family member, the co-owner of a business, or the sole travel companion.
- Dismissal, temporary layoff, redundancy, or new employment of the insured, a family member if a travel companion, or the sole travel companion.
- Summons or appointment of the insured, a family member if a travel companion, or the sole travel companion as a juror, witness, or lay judge before the court, notified to the insured after the policy has been issued
- Material damage to the insured’s home or business premises, of an extraordinary and unforeseeable nature, requiring the presence of the insured
- Theft of identity documents required for travel abroad of the insured, a family member if a travel companion, or the sole travel companion
- Inability to reach the accommodation from the place of residence due to an accident or breakdown of the insured’s means of transport during the journey
- Changes in the dates of university exams, public competitions, or professional qualification exams of the insured, a family member traveling with them, or the sole travel companion
- This also applies in the event of an unforeseeable exacerbation of pre-existing conditions occurring after the booking/confirmation of the trip and/or issuance of the policy
- This also includes cancellations and interruptions due to family members: spouse or cohabiting partner, and relatives and in-laws of the insured party up to the second degree (therefore: children, parents, brothers and sisters, grandparents, parents-in-law, sons-in-law and daughters-in-law, brothers-in-law, adopted children, adoptive parents, half-siblings, stepfathers and stepmothers of the Insured Party)
MANDATORY ISOLATION, QUARANTINE AND LOCKDOWN
Mandatory self-isolation applies to confirmed COVID-19 cases (positive test results), who must separate from the community and take all necessary measures to prevent the spread of the infection. As this is considered a medical condition, the case is covered by insurance.
Quarantine applies to healthy individuals who have been in close contact with a positive case and may potentially be at risk of infection.
a) If the contact occurred with relatives up to the second degree, given the need for care, the case is covered by insurance.
b) Otherwise, there is no insurance coverage, and the situation can be treated similarly to lockdown cases.
Lockdown cases and quarantine cases under scenario b are not covered by insurance. However, if you are insured, in the event of a lockdown we will give you the option to convert your deposit into a voucher for a future stay, valid for up to one year.
WHEN SHOULD IT BE SIGNED?
Insurance cover must be requested within 48 hours of booking your stay and must be taken out for the entire duration of your stay.
INSURED CAPITAL – EXCESS
Maximum €8,000 per person. No excess in the event of death or hospitalization exceeding 3 days. A 10% excess applies to the insured in all other cases.
